Ownership & Management
A&E President Ed Leventhal has been involved in an ownership position and hands on manufacturing role for over 45 years with several medium sized manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, and logistics operations. These roles have been with both existing operations, as well as start up companies in the Springfield, Ohio area.
Vice President of Operations Adam Leventhal has been involved in the powder coating industry for over twenty years. He spent five years as the head of a large powder coating facility in Springfield, Ohio before deciding to start A&E with his father. Adam brings a wide range of experiences, knowledge, and expertise in the powder coating field to our company.
We are located in a 30,000 sq. ft. facility that contains numerous docks and enough space to handle and store your product.
An Employee-Owned Company
A&E POWDER COATING is excited and proud to announce effective January 1, 2020 it became an employee-owned company. Eddie Leventhal, the previous owner, has transferred 100% of his A&E POWDER COATING ownership to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). This new company structure of employee ownership will ensure that A&E remains independent, preserves the family culture that has been created, guarantees we will remain local, reinforces the company’s commitment to our customers, our suppliers, our community, and most importantly our employees.
“There were a number of options we could have used to transfer the ownership of A&E but many of them were simply not right for us,” states Eddie Leventhal president and former owner. “We have worked hard over the years to create a family culture that values our employees, customers, and suppliers and the relationships and partnerships we have created. Moving forward and looking to the future I felt the ESOP provided the best solution to preserve and grow what we have created over the years. I strongly believe that by Working Together The Best is Yet To Come.”
The surprise announcement of the newly created ESOP was made to all of the A&E POWDER COATING employees at a special meeting that was held on March 29, 2021 at The John Legend Theatre in Springfield, Ohio. “This is a great day for the future of A&E and all of the employees/owners who have been so instrumental in our success and growth over the years. I am thrilled to embark upon this exciting next chapter in our company’s long and rich tradition with my fellow employees and owners,” Leventhal concluded.
